Frequently Asked Questions

We may be biased, but "I'll handle it myself" has launched many successful legal careers—for lawyers. Most people assume they need legal advice only after a dispute has arisen. In reality, many legal issues can be prevented through timely guidance.

Because the legal profession thrives when knowledge is shared rather than guarded. Every lawyer remembers a professor, senior, mentor, article, or resource that helped them understand a difficult concept, navigate a challenge, or take the next step in their career. We are no different.

The legal profession grows through the exchange of ideas, not merely through the resolution of disputes. Through Krit Perspective, we share articles, case analyses, practical resources, templates, mentorship opportunities, and legal insights that may benefit students, young professionals, and members of the public. We believe knowledge serves its highest purpose when it is shared.

Many individuals wait until a situation becomes urgent before seeking assistance. Others assume certain facts are unimportant and therefore omit them during consultations. In our experience, early advice and complete information often make a significant difference. The most expensive sentence in law remains: "I thought that wouldn't be important."

We believe the law should bring clarity where there is uncertainty and structure where there is conflict. Every matter entrusted to us deserves diligence, preparation, and honest advice. We may not always tell clients what they wish to hear, but we will strive to tell them what they need to know. Panic is not a legal strategy. Preparation is.

Yes—and no.

Good law often begins with common sense. Principles such as fairness, accountability, responsibility, and reasonableness are at the heart of many legal systems. However, legal practice requires more than instinct. It requires understanding how those principles have been interpreted, applied, challenged, and developed over time through statutes, regulations, and judicial decisions.

Common sense may tell you what feels right. The law determines what is legally enforceable, procedurally correct, and strategically advisable. The difference between the two is often where lawyers find themselves employed.

That said, whenever legal advice becomes unnecessarily complicated, we find it useful to return to a simple question: "Does this make sense?" Surprisingly often, the answer points in the right direction.
